Accelerating Progress Towards Cross-Border Digital Identity Interoperability.
March 27th , 2024 – SIDI Hub is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a generous grant by the European Union through the NGI Sargasso framework. This is a major milestone and represents a validation for our commitment to advancing cross-border digital identity interoperability.
Strategic Updates
Following our successful inaugural summit, the SIDI Hub team has been hard at work refining our strategy for 2024 and beyond. We’ve developed a draft strategy deck to guide our efforts, and we eagerly invite your feedback to ensure that our plans resonate with the needs of our community. Key Workstreams Driving Progress
To drive our mission forward, we’ve identified several key workstreams:
- Champion Use Cases for cross-border interoperability, develop a process for selecting and fleshing out 1-3 cross-border use cases
- Minimum Requirements for Digital Identity Interoperability for Champion Use Cases
- Trust Framework Mapping for Champion Use Cases, by analysing and amplifying existing trust mapping efforts, identifying gaps (including duplication), and aligning on mitigation tactics.
- Metrics of success Define what SIDI Hub metrics of success are, and monitoring delivery.
- SIDI Hub Governance, such as SIDI Hub internal processes & grant management, SIDI decision tracking, SIDI partner issue resolution monitoring, SIDI roadmap alignment, global ecosystem governance gap analysis & options to remediate.
Regional Workshops: Fostering Collaboration
Throughout the year, SIDI Hub will host a series of workshops to gather insights and perspectives from stakeholders around the world. We welcome participation from all organizations involved in digital identity solutions. Stay tuned for updates on workshop dates and locations.

- Latin America – Brazil, Rio de Janeiro before the G20, target date: November 15th
